Large rooms with ensuites and walk-in robes, spaced far enough apart to stay quiet. The children's bunk room sits beside a parents' room on the one level; the master is upstairs and well out of the way. Three generations under one roof, each with somewhere to retreat to.

A large room upstairs, above the trees, with a walk-in robe and its own ensuite. Set well away from the other bedrooms — first light through the trees, and the ocean in earshot.

A generous second bedroom with its own ensuite — a king for a couple, or split into two singles for siblings, cousins or the friends who prefer their own bed.

Downstairs on the same level as the bunk room, with its own ensuite. The parents-of-little-ones room: one door away from the children, and out of earshot of everyone else.

Bunk beds — for the children
A room that belongs entirely to the children — negotiated over before the bags are down, and right next door to Bedroom 3 so the little ones are never far.
Family Sleeping Layout
"The bunks are the first thing the children run to. Nobody has ever asked for a room upgrade."
The layout does a lot of quiet work: children and their parents together downstairs, the other adults upstairs or across the house, and enough distance between the two that early mornings stay everyone's own business.

Bedroom 2 can be configured as a king or split into two singles — mention what you'd prefer when you enquire. A porta cot is available on request. The house sleeps up to ten across four bedrooms.
