Best restaurants in Peregian Beach.

Everything you can walk to from Villa Villa Coola. Pizza, yes. Mexican, yes. Fish and chips on the sand. Fine dining, absolutely.

Peregian Beach is a village, not a strip. Every restaurant worth eating at sits on or beside the village green, which is a two-minute walk from the back gate of Villa Villa Coola. You could — and many of our guests do — eat somewhere different every night of the week without ever getting in the car.

Peregian Beach Hotel (PBH)

The anchor of the village. Big open dining room, garden bar, a proper kids' menu and the sort of pub food that has been quietly refined into something better than it needs to be. Good for the first night when you're tired from the drive. Book ahead for Friday and Saturday.

Good for: big groups, early dinners with children, a shared parma at the end of a beach day.

Sum Yung Guys

The village's fine-dining room. South-East Asian small plates that read simply and land beautifully — coconut prawns, lamb massaman, whole crispy fish. Book weeks ahead in summer. Worth every minute of the wait.

Good for: a night off from the kids, a birthday, out-of-town guests.

Pitchfork

Local, seasonal, quietly excellent. Fish is the standout — barramundi, snapper, whatever came in that morning. The wine list is small and well chosen. Long lunches turn into afternoons here.

Embasa

Modern Mexican, family-run and consistently the busiest room on the green on a Thursday. Tacos, ceviche, mezcal. Sit outside if you can.

Providore Peregian

Wood-fired pizza and pasta done properly. Family friendly, reliable, and the kind of place you end up eating at twice in a week without meaning to.

Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club

Fish and chips looking straight out at the patrolled flags. Beers are cold. Children can wander back to the sand between courses. There is a version of the perfect Peregian evening that begins here and ends on the rooftop back at the house.

Bendito Burrito & the smaller bites

Bendito Burrito for a quick lunch, the fish and chip shop for takeaway on the sand, and the bakery for pies on the way home from the beach. Sometimes the village's best meals are the smallest ones.

Lunch has a habit of becoming dinner. Dinner has a habit of becoming a rooftop.

A one-week eating plan

Here is how we tend to send guests through the week — feel free to reorder.

  1. Sunday: Arrive tired. Fish and chips at the SLSC, watch the last swimmers.
  2. Monday: Wood-fired pizza from Providore. Eat on the terrace at the house.
  3. Tuesday: Long lunch at Pitchfork. Nap. Skip dinner.
  4. Wednesday: Tacos at Embasa. Ice cream on the way home.
  5. Thursday: Cook at the house — the kitchen is set up for it.
  6. Friday: A drink at the PBH garden bar, then Sum Yung Guys.
  7. Saturday: Long breakfast, then something simple. Bakery pies and a bottle of wine on the roof.

Where to eat if you want to leave the village

Hastings Street and Noosa Heads is a fifteen-minute drive: Rickys, Wasabi, Season, Locale. Sunshine Beach for a Sails lunch. Coolum for something more relaxed. See our Noosa day trip guide for the full itinerary.

For where to stay while you eat your way through it all, see rates and availability, or read more about the house itself.
